Museums Australia is the national professional association for the museums and galleries sector. The Office Coordinator is responsible for administrative, communications, and event support for the Museums Australia (Victoria) Branch Office, and is the face of the organisation for visitors to our office, and enquiries received by telephone and e-mail.

The Office Coordinator provides a reception point for members and the general public, supports programmed events, and co-chairs our state and national conferences.

Applications for this position are invited from people with an understanding of the museum sector, excellent time management, communication and teamwork skills, and an ability to work with a wide range of people.

The annual salary for the hours of 9.30 am - 4.00 pm, five days per week, is $44,195 plus superannuation, paid to the minimum required by applicable legislation, depending on skills and experience. There are also 4 extra paid annual leave days per annum given to all staff.

Operations Coordinator, Victorian Collections      

Full time – 5 days/week
Fixed term – 14 months

Museums Australia is the national professional association for the museums and galleries sector. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for delivering operational and administrative support for Victorian Collections, and to support a veterans’ heritage project with ex-service organisations.

This role is within our Victorian Collections team, a cataloguing system for metropolitan and regional community organisations to support collection management, digital cataloguing, and sharing online. The Operations Coordinator will work with the Communications and Education Coordinator and two Victorian Collections Managers.

Applications for this position are invited from people with strong time management skills, and an interest in collections management, conservation and heritage. 

The annual salary for five days per week is $55,244 plus superannuation, paid to the minimum required by applicable legislation, depending on skills and experience. There are also 4 extra paid annual leave days per annum given to all staff.
