Tour: Historic East Melbourne [Past Event]

This free member tour will take us through a few of East Melbourne’s historic buildings and museums. The tour will start at the Fire Services Museum of Victoria, housed in the original headquarters of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, and will include the Friday morning training exercise at Eastern Hill Fire Station, next door to the museum. Enjoy lunch and a tour at the Mary McKillop Heritage Centre ($18 optional lunch, not included) before joining us for the final part of the tour: the 1879 headquarters of the National Trust (Victoria), Tasma Terrace (pictured). Here you will discover the history of the different apartments, and occupants of the building.

Digital Storytelling 101 [Past Event]

Learn the basics of creating a digital story for an exhibition or online content. Using digitised WW1 photographs from the Shrine of Remembrance, participants will learn to use Sony Movie Studio software to create a photo story with recorded narration and music. Presented in Collaboration with The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne.
