Working with Children? Check. [Past Event]

Wed 23 Aug, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Time to get down on your hands and knees again and get a kid’s eye view of the world. Join members of the Education Network of Victoria for this fun event featuring speakers from Melbourne Museum and the State Library Victoria.

The Pauline Gandel Children’s Museum opened in December 2016 and it has been a seething mass of kids learning through play ever since. Come along and hear Alex Price talk about the development of the exhibition. The consultation process included Early Childhood experts and educators, as well as junior museum consultants who tested, tried and provided feedback on our ideas.

The State Library of Victoria is currently undergoing one of the biggest redevelopments in its history with young learners a key priority in the Vision 20/20 strategic plan. Emma Baker and Sue Graham will share the Library’s experience with audience consultation and co-design and what this looked like when engaging with young learners.

There will be time for refreshments, networking and play.
