Hot off the Press: INSITE Feb-Apr 2017

The first 2017 issue of INSITE Magazine has just arrived from the printer and will be heading into members' mailboxes next week.

The issue focuses on the theme 'Moving' and includes articles from:

  • Judith Henke (Melbourne Zoo) on the logistics of moving animals.
  • Jessica Bram (ACMI) on displaying moving images.
  • Neville Quick (Museums Victoria) on the relocation of over four million collection items in 2016.
  • Georgia Cribb (NETS Victoria) on the safe transport of contemporary art.
  • Di Whittle (NGV) on the conservation challenges presented by artworks that use movement.
  • The B24 Liberator Memorial on the beautiful cloth pilot maps in their collection.

We also have a page on the 2017 recipients of the Roving Curator Program and an article by Dr J. Patrick Greene (Museums Victoria) on the Future of Museums.
