We are pleased to be offering two types of bursaries for the 2016 Victorian Museums & Galleries Conference.

Deakin Students Bursaries

Thanks to our partnership with Deakin University, we are offering a limited number of free registrations for the Conference to students currently enrolled in the Deakin Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies programs.

To register your interest, please email chms@deakin.edu.au

If you miss out on bursaries, we also offer a great student member price of $120, or $280 for non-member students. The cost of a one-year Museums Australia membership is $80 for students, so it's well worth joining in order to get the student member registration rate. Go to our membership page to find out about membership benefits and to join.

Regional, Remote, Community Museums and Galleries Bursaries

A number of bursaries are available to support regional, remote and community museum and gallery colleagues, and colleagues from Keeping Places to attend the Conference. Funding for these bursaries has been generously provided to the Museums Australia National Office by the Australian Federal Government Ministry for the Arts. Please note: regional and remote Victorian staff and volunteers are eligible to apply.

Funding will be allocated to assist with travel and registration costs. Per diem expenses, accommodation costs, wage reimbursement and sundries are not eligible for funding. Applications must be received by 5 pm AEST on Monday 8 August. To apply, please download the bursary application form and email the completed form to our National Office at bursaries@museumsaustralia.org.au
