RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2018 ROVING CURATOR PROGRAM
The Roving Curator Program supports the development of quality cultural exhibitions in Victoria. The program provides small museums and galleries with exhibition development assistance from MA (Vic)'s Roving Curator, including several days of professional on-site advice as well as follow-up support.
The four successful applicants are:
The Roving Curator will assist with an offsite exhibition in Werribee, Dax on Trax in Wyndham and the West, part of an education program promoting mental health and well-being, for communities in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
The Roving Curator will assist with the development of the exhibition History Reclaimed: a celebration of community action to protect and preserve local heritage, the opening exhibition for the restored museum space in the former Essendon Court House, and assist with selecting display equipment for the space.
The Roving Curator will assist with the development of a touring exhibition, Remembering the end: peace celebrations and life immediately after WW1 in Geelong and Barwon region, which will tour to 16 libraries in the area, and be available to community groups.
The Roving Curator will assist with the development of the temporary exhibition The Industrial History of Stawell, displaying little known stories from the history of Stawell.
